Geo Escapade
General terms and conditions
Your reservation constitutes a contractual agreement by which you accept all the conditions described below. It is therefore the traveler’s responsibility to carefully read and understand all terms before making a reservation.
1. Reservations: Deposit and Final Payment
Deposit: $1,500 to $2,500 (depending on the program and the value of the airline ticket) per person at the time of booking for all our packages.
Final payment: Must be paid 60 days prior to departure.
Exceptions: Some hotels require full payment at the time of booking (non-refundable).
2. Cancellations: Flight, package (trip + taxes), or land portion
If a traveler cancels a trip, cancellation fees will apply as follows:
-
46 days or more before departure: the entire deposit is retained
-
60 days or less: 100% non-refundable
Exceptions: Some hotels, payable in full at the time of booking, are 100% non-refundable.
Events such as Easter, the Grand Prix, etc., are subject to different cancellation conditions. The departure day is excluded when calculating cancellation deadlines. All cancellations must be confirmed in writing to Geo Escapade. No refund will be issued by Geo Escapade for cancelled or unused services after departure.
Force Majeure: Due to global political situations, the above cancellation fees remain applicable even in the case of cancellations or change requests due to declared or undeclared war, armed conflict, insurrection, terrorism (even in the region or country visited), or any other illegal act against public order or from public authorities. Travelers may not use such events as a reason for refund or cancellation once bookings have been confirmed.
3. Changes
Any change to a reservation is considered a cancellation and will be subject to the cancellation fees outlined in these general conditions. For hotel or apartment stays, travelers may upgrade their accommodation category on-site (subject to availability) but must cover the difference in cost requested by the hotel.
4. Website Descriptions
Geo Escapade has made every effort to ensure that the information provided is accurate at the time of publication. However, this information is subject to change for reasons beyond its control.
5. Air, Sea or Land Transportation
Issued tickets and vouchers are non-transferable, non-negotiable, and only valid for the specified dates. 6. Accommodations / Cabins

7. Tours
Hotel selections for tours may vary slightly without affecting service quality. The purchased itinerary will be respected, but visit schedules may change due to unforeseen circumstances during the tour.
8. Travel Documents
A Canadian passport is mandatory (ensure the name provided at booking matches your passport). Non-Canadians must contact their respective consulates to determine their rights and obligations for the destination country. It is the traveler’s responsibility to obtain, at their own expense, all necessary travel documents and comply with government regulations.
9. Traveler’s Responsibility
Travelers must inform their travel agent of their intentions, goals, expectations, and needs before booking. Travelers must be in sufficiently good health to travel. Before departure, travelers should consult with health authorities about necessary preventive medical measures for the countries visited and ensure they carry an adequate supply of required medications at all times.
10. At Destination
Living standards, lifestyle, and service levels may differ from those familiar to the traveler. In old towns or historic districts, infrastructure may be very different from North American standards.
-
Service interruptions (e.g., water or electricity) may occur.
-
Construction or renovation work may take place.
-
Holidays, school breaks, conventions, trade shows, etc., may cause disruptions for which Geo Escapade cannot be held responsible.
11. Notice to Consumers
Certain inconveniences are normal aspects of travel (e.g., flight or cruise delays, cultural differences, public holiday closures). The traveler accepts and assumes the consequences and agrees that Geo Escapade cannot be held liable for resulting damages.
12. Complaints and Claims
It is the traveler’s responsibility to immediately inform Geo Escapade of any problem. While abroad, the traveler must contact the local representative of Geo Escapade or the service provider to try to resolve the issue on-site.
If unresolved, the traveler must submit a written claim within 14 days of return. Claims will be considered only if Geo Escapade was informed at the time of the issue, and if despite its intervention, the issue remained unresolved. No other claims will be accepted.
Processing time: 6 to 8 weeks. In all cases, Geo Escapade’s liability is limited to the price of the package.
13. Laws
This agreement is governed by the laws of the Province of Quebec, and any legal action against the travel agent must be brought before Quebec courts.
If any clause is found invalid, it does not nullify the entire agreement, titled “General Conditions.”
