Departure from Montreal to Madrid.

Jour 2 – Madrid

Transfer to your hotel for your stay in Madrid, a city full of contrasts. Its rich and varied architecture complemented with parks and gardens will add to your outdoor enjoyment. Madrid is a modern city that has kept its authentic character.

Overnight in Madrid

Jour 3 – Madrid

Half day panoramic city tour of Madrid, capital and touristic centre of Spain. Despite its medieval origin, it is the 19th century architecture that gives the city its unique personality. Besides the famous Prado Museum with its renowned masterpieces and the magnificent Plaza Mayor, Madrid’s architecture comes alive in the animated atmosphere of its streets, day and night.

Jour 4 – Toledo-Madrid

Half day tour of Toledo, guardian of 2000 years of history and architectural treasures. A Unesco World Heritage site, the city is nestled on the winding shores of the Tagus River. Toledo’s rich historic and cultural heritage make it one of the most important cities in Spain with too many marvelous sites to mention. Some are its cathedral, the El Transito Synagogue, the Bad-El-Mardum Mosque and the El Greco Museum.

Jour 5 – Madrid-Seville

Train to Seville. This is your opportunity to become acquainted with the “jewel of Andalusia”. Seville’s personality is one of elegance, drama and colour as seen in its unique and charming red rooftops.

Jour 6 – Seville

Half day tour of Seville, capital of Andalusia and birthplace of Flamenco. Seville’s tumultuous past is evident in its varied architecture. Admire its cathedral, second in importance only to St. Peter’s in Rome, as well as the district of Santa Cruz, where Carmen and the story of Don Juan originated.

Jour 7 – Cordoba

Train to Cordoba. Rest of the day free. This city is undoubtedly another rare example of Andalusia’s artistic heritage. They say that Cordobans are natural thinkers and philosophers, making the city a nineteenth century cultural centre.

Jour 8 – Cordoba

Half day city tour of Cordoba, a city which displays its ornamental heritage in its mosque, its Jewish Quarter, its San Lorenzo district, its many gardens and its winding streets.

Jour 9 – Malaga-Torremolinos

Train to Malaga. At last, arrive on this coast blessed with an exceptional climate and surrounded by incomparable blue water.

Jour 10 – Visit Granada

Full day visit to Granada. This city sits at the foothills of the Sierra Madre mountains, surrounded by fertile plains. The last bastion of the Moorish empire until 1492, Grenada, with its pink palace of Alhambra, its Generalife full of gardens and fountains, and its spectacular buildings inspired several authors such as Washington Irving, who wrote “Tales of the Alhambra”. Granada is a must to visit!

Overnight in Torremolinos

Jour 11 to 14 – Torremolinos

Six days at leisure on the Costa del Sol. Take this opportunity to relax or continue discovering Andalusia with its whitewashed towns, the famous Rock of Gibraltar and its picturesque seaside fishing villages.

Jour 15 – Malaga-Montreal
